Home School Hub comes to an end this week and it’s fair to say some of the children of Ireland have had the time of their lives.
While many youngsters will have missed their friends during lockdown, RTE has done its best to recreate the school experience by broadcasting Home School Hub every weekday morning since restrictions began.
Sadly, its almost time to wave goodbye to Múinteoirs Ray, Clíona and John as Home School Hub wraps up at the end of this week but not before a special graduation ceremony takes place on Friday.
RTE has shared a sneak peak of what’s in store and it features teenage music sensation Allie Sherlock joining forces with the RTE Concert Orchestra for a rendition of Can’t Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake. In the clip, which is due to air on TV on Friday morning, Home School Hub’s teaching trio don their glad rags and bust out some moves that you wouldn’t normally see during your average maths class.

Allie also plays Good Riddance by Green Day and it seems like the perfect way to sign off. The children of Ireland (and especially the parents) are no doubt extremely grateful for what Home School Hub has given them over the past few months but let’s hope there’s some sort of normality back in place by the end of the summer.
