Irish WWE star Becky Lynch announced that she is pregnant last night during an episode of Monday Night Raw broadcast live over in the States.
Having been absent from the ring for the past month, Becky Lynch explained to viewers last night that the reason she has been laying low is because she is expecting her first child with fellow wrestler Seth Rollins.
Speaking in an empty arena due to the Covid-19 crisis, the 33-year-old Dubliner relinquished her Raw Women's title to Japanese wrestler Asuka who, it has to be said, was pretty excited about the development. Eventually dropping her bombshell, Lynch told Asuka to "go and be a warrior, 'cause I'm gonna go be a mother." An emotional Becky then said "I'll miss you guys" to the camera as she made her way backstage.
Nicknamed The Man, Becky has become a massive star across the Atlantic in recent years and is up there with the biggest names on the WWE roster. She and Rollins announced their engagement in August of last year, just four months after she won the first ever all-female headline match at Wrestlemania, in which she defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat bout.
