WATCH: Netflix announce date for The Crown Season 4

Lynda Keogh

If you haven’t started watching The Crown yet, I’m so jealous that you have it all ahead of you. Start watching it now!

In January we were told that Season 4 would be the penultimate season, but thankfully Netflix announced in July that there will be six seasons. For anyone that has been an avid fan, and has been waiting for the new season to hit this year – we finally have a date! Hallelujah!

The long-awaited Season 4 will start at the end of the 1970s and entering into the early 1980s. This season is set to be juicy as we are introduced to Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister and her tumultuous relationship with the Queen. Olivia Colman will continue in her role of the Queen for this season, whilst Thatcher will be played by Gillian Anderson of The Fall and The X-Files fame.

Now, for the bit that we are all really excited to see play out; Charles will meet a young Diana Spencer. The excitement is bubbling in me – dying to get stuck into this season (and watch it all in one day..)

But when will Season 4 be released you ask? – November 15th. Mark it in your diary this second.

Until then, this teaser trailer is all we have.. Check it out!
