“I’ve loved being in Ireland, I love it here!”
Back in December, we covered the first trailer for Fate: The Winx Saga, the new fantasy series coming to Netflix, which was filmed in Wicklow.
If you haven’t watched that trailer yet, then you can check it out right here, but today Netflix have revealed a behind-the-scenes featurette of the show, which contains the cast and creator of the show discuss what we can expect from the series, as well as a bit of a love-in by everyone about their time filming in Ireland.
The plot revolves around “the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence.”
The show was filmed at Kilruddery House in Bray, as well as at the iconic Ardmore Studios, and from the footage revealed in the new featurette, the new show looks particularly lush.
Fate: The Winx Saga will launch on Netflix on Friday, January 22.
