Can you believe it's six whole months since we were first introduced to the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney's novel Normal People?
Back in April, we were all still new to Covid-19 lockdowns so Normal People arrived at exactly the right time. Everyone wanted to consume as much TV content as they could to pass the time and now, save for a bit of summer respite, we're largely back where we started.
This exclusive clip issued by Vogue Online of Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal's first Normal People audition is the perfect throwback to those early days in the spring when we followed every move of Connell and Marianne. The two-and-a-half-minute clip captures the obvious chemistry between the two actors for the very first time on screen. Since the clip was recorded, the pair have been catapulted to worldwide fame, with Mescal on a one-man mission to make GAA shorts fashionable.
The exclusive footage and more is available on the Normal People DVD which you can pre order now here. Other features include interviews with the lead cast and creators and exclusive deleted scenes.
If you somehow haven't seen Normal People (or even if you have) it sounds like the perfect companion for a winter of staying at home. Check out the exclusive audition clip released by Vogue Online below...
