WATCH: Roy Keane and Jamie Redknapp go at it in heated exchange on Sky Sports

Roy Keane and Jamie Redknapp were at the centre of a heated exchange during Super Sunday on Sky Sports yesterday afternoon.

For anyone that thought Roy Keane’s new jovial Instagram persona was going to hold him back in the workplace, they can think again. After a few fairly tepid performances in the Sky Sports studio of late, perhaps stilled scarred by his telling off from Jurgen Klopp earlier in the season, the Corkman was very much back in form over the weekend.

In studio to analyse Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley, Keane aired his view that the current Spurs team is somewhat lacking in talent, an opinion that Redknapp was having none of. Standing pitchside at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, the former Spurs midfielder was a lot more animated than we’re used to seeing him as himself and Keano exchanged digs, with the rest of the Sky team watching on in silence.

Watching it, it’s easy to think that there’s a bit of underlying tension between the pair as they went at it like two warring colleagues on a Zoom call. Have a look at the clip below where it starts kicking off just before the two-minute mark…

In fairness to Jamie, he wasn’t backing down but winning an argument against Roy Keane is no easy task. We look forward to round two in the coming weeks.
