Woah. If you think you’ve seen it all folks, but you clearly haven’t seen a from Cavan niftly pushing a f**k load of sausage meat into casing and tying those little delights up faster than anyone in the whole world.
Sounds odd, but it’s actually SO entertaining.
This week’s RTÉ’s Big Week On The Farm saw Barry John from Cavan, who’s been tying sausages since he was 13, make complete minced meat out of the previous world record for the amount of sausages tied in one minute.
He had to beat 60, and our Barry cracked out an impressive 78.
Barry John said: “It is a great achievement, I am delighted to be able to have done it. It came as a bit of a surprise to be asked to do it so to be able to manage it on live television is great. Having the name in the Guinness World Record is definitely a bonus!”
The sausages had to be at least 4inches long with no blemishes, and his look pretty perfect to us.
