Who’s on the Late Late? Irish female musicians lead the way on this week’s show

Live performances on The Late Late Show have gained a lot of traction recently but some viewers have pointed to a lack of female representation among them.

That’s all set to change tomorrow night as The Late Late Show welcomes not just one but four Irish female performers to the studio. Among the artists to wow viewers since the outbreak of Covid-19 are Dermot Kennedy and Hozier and this week Mary Black, Frances Black, Sharon Shannon and Mary Coughlan will take to the Late Late stage.

Who’s on the Late Late?

As has become custom in recent weeks, host Ryan Tubridy will be chatting to guests virtually due to social distancing regulations. This week he’ll be talking to Navan’s very own James Bond in the form of Pierce Brosnan while U2’s Adam Clayton will also be dialing in.

With Darkness Into Light cancelled for this year, we’ll be hearing about Pieta House’ Sunrise Appeal which is due to take place on Saturday morning. If you’d like to donate to the appeal you can do so here.

As well as that, astronaut Chris Hadfield will be talking about exploring the universe at a time when the rest of us make do with exploring our local areas.

You can catch The Late Late Show at the usual time and place this Friday ay 9.35pm on RTE One.
