Yes, you read that right. You can now book a private video chat with an alpaca in County Wicklow.
K2Alpacas, known for providing super fun alpaca tours at Callow Hill, Newtownmountkennedy, Wicklow, have now moved online due to the Covid-19 outbreak. And that means virtual tours as well as private video chats with alpacas. I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with the idea of this.
For €50, you can have a 15-minute chat with an alpaca. Simply select the time slot that suits you, send a zoom link and give them any details of any special occasions you might be celebrating. And your designated alpaca will greet you accordingly.
Instead of yet another zoom quiz with your mates, you could instead chat to BArry the Alpaca. I don’t know about you, but I know which one sounds more appealing right now.

You can also gift one of your pals a personalised alpaca gram! Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or you just want to cheer someone up, I think an alpaca gram is a pretty unexpected way to do that.
K2Alpacas is also offering virtual tours of their farm. Lasting 25 minutes, you’ll get to meet all of the adult and cria alpacas on the farm and learn lots about these majestic creatures.
K2Alpacas have also given detail of when they will be able to resume regular operations again. On a statement on their website, they said:
“Alpaca trekking will be commencing on 29th June 2020 (phase 3 of the easing of restrictions).”
In the meantime, we’ll just have to enjoy a virtual tour, a private video chat with an alpaca and the adorable alpaca related content posted on their Instagram.
