You Can Now Stay In A Famous Director’s Villa In Cork With Airbnb

Sarah

You can now have a little bit of the celebrity lifestyle in Wesht Cork thanks to a fab villa in Castletown-Bearhaven, owned by none other than Neil Jordan of Interview With A Vampire and The Crying Game.

The six-bedroom, four bathroom villa sleeps 12 people, located right on the waterfront on five acres of landscaped, wooded & walled gardens, with superb features such as its own small beach, river with waterfall, and a Finnish wood-burning sauna.

We repeat: Its own waterfall. Its own SAUNA.

The house is a “boutique 1840s home” that was completely renovated 15 years ago, and cute rooms include a lobby with the piano and fireplace leads into The “white” room…which is an elegant sitting room/ library -this room leads into the television room with large kick back leather chairs.

The views outside are SO pretty

Outdoors you’ll find a wood burning Finnish Sauna, outdoor shower and direct access to the beach, and a cast iron tub for a wood fired sea weed bath.

The villa looks directly onto Beara Island, which should 100% be a must-visit for anyone in the Cork area – rugged and peaceful, it’s a perfect place for a day trip over on the little ferry for a cycle around and a stop off in the local pub.

The home boasts five star ratings from every guest who’s ever stayed there, with one even saying that “I’m slow to say how good this house is as I really want to keep it for myself. Everything is wonderful, quirky and the scenery just breathtaking. Just book it!”

With scenery like this we can see why he wants to keep it a secret…

The Waterfall home is available to rent from €530 a night, which isn’t too shabby when shared between 12 people.

If it’s good enough for Neil Jordan, eh?
