Planning a weekend in Dublin this winter?

From chart-topping pop groups and legendary rock bands to the ultimate tribute acts, there’s no shortage of unreal live gigs happening around Dublin this winter.

As Christmas draws closer, this year’s Winter in Dublin is packed with incredible events, including a whole host of deadly concerts and music gigs.

With that in mind, we’ve put together some of the top gigs taking place in the capital this winter, to help you make the most of your next trip to Dublin…

Inhaler – 3Olympia

Ahead of their second album, Cuts & Bruises, landing in early 2023, indie rock group Inhaler kicks off their world tour with two shows in the 3Olympia on Wednesday 30 November and Thursday 01 December.

With tickets priced from just €27.90, it’s sure to be an incredible pre-Christmas gig for anyone looking to hear their first album and their latest two singles live before their sophomore album hits the shelves.

Girls Against Boys – Workman’s Club

Post-hardcore band Girls Against Boys celebrate the 25th anniversary of their fourth album, House of GVSB, with a new tour, which comes to Workman’s on Thursday 01 December.

First recorded in 1988, they’re celebrating House of GVSB’s anniversary on this tour by playing the entire project in full, along with some other tracks from their catalogue.

The Rocket Man, A Tribute to Elton John – The Helix

Promising to be the ultimate night out for Elton John fans, as tribute act Jimmy and his amazing band have put together the ultimate celebration of the legend’s incredible music, taking place at The Helix.

Taking place on Friday 02 December, expect two hours of live back-to-back Elton hits, including  Crocodile Rock, I’m Still Standing, Philadelphia Freedom and loads more beloved classics.

Bowling For Soup – 3Olympia

Following on from the success of their eleventh studio album Pop Drunk Snot Bread, rock pop-punk band Bowling For Soup brings their latest tour to Dublin’s 3Olympia on Saturday 3 December.

They’ll be playing all the top tracks from their new album including I Wanna Be Brad Pitt and June Carter Cash, with support acts As December Falls and Thomas Nicholas Band also lined up to perform.

Placebo – 3Arena

Following the release of their long-awaited eighth studio album, Placebo takes the 3Arena stage on Monday 5 December.

Nine years on from their last album, their latest release Never Let Me Go was long-awaited by fans, making the new tour. Following on from their long hibernation period, loyal fans of the popular rock band won’t want to miss this pre-Christmas gig.

Blossoms – 3Olympia

After a busy summer of touring the UK festival scene and supporting The Killers, Blossoms are now delighting Irish fans with a show in the 3Olympia on Tuesday 6 December.

Since forming in 2013, pop band Blossoms have gone from strength to strength, now boasting four high-performing albums. Their latest project, Ribbon Around the Bomb, topped UK charts and now, Irish fans have the chance to hear the hit record live in Dublin this Christmas.
