‘Home Alone’ Is Coming To Ireland With A Live Orchestra For The First Time This December

Sarah Finnan

Home Alone is one of the best movies around. Every year it’s top of my Christmas viewing list and I usually manage to watch it more than once. Priorities.

Well, this December why not get the full experience and go to a live orchestral performance of the score? John Williams’ masterpiece will be performed live to picture alongside the movie in three locations around the country.

The Orchestra of Ireland will help to bring the magic to life accompanied by a full choir. Starting off in Castlebar on November 30, the show will then move to Dublin on December 1 and The INEC in Killarney on the December 2.

The 1990 film has enjoyed enduring success since its release and the iconic score is arguably one of the most recognisable things about it.

Tickets are €59.50 and go on sale this Friday at 9 a.m.

It’s never too early to start filling up that Christmas calendar.
