Galway chipper truck Prátaí to set up at third location

Katy Thornton

Is maith liom sceallóga prátaí.

We do love our prátaí after all. Galway chipper truck Prátaí set up shop in November 2021 at the Christmas Markets. They took a short break and reopened to the public in February 2022, moving from location to location over the weekends. On Fridays they can be found at Moycullen Market between 1pm and 6pm, and on Sundays you’ll find them at St. Nicholas Galway Market 12pm to 5pm.

Well if you’ve been wanting your prátaí fix on a Saturday, you can finally get it. The chipper truck took to Instagram to share their new Saturday location at Kilcornan Woods.

This location is special to the lads in charge; in their Instagram caption they say this of the spot:

This location is a special one for us. Kilcornan Woods was like our back garden growing up, so to pitch up our trailer and serve to the Clarinbridge parish every Saturday will be a great feeling!

Whether you love a classic salt and vinegar chips, or a helping of curry mayo on top, Prátaí chipper truck will sort you out.

Prátaí will open every Saturday at Kilcornan Woods between 12pm and 5pm.
