“This has been a very difficult decision that the both of us did not want to have to make.”

The cost of living crisis has claimed another victim as small business Two Chaps Deli in Bray have announced their closure. They took to Instagram to share the news with their followers and loyal customers, expressing their regret at having to make such a decision.

The Two Chaps were very candid in giving their reason for closing the deli, saying this within their Instagram caption:

“The economic times that we are facing has been the major factor to why we have to close. Prices of all our supplies just continue to go up which nearly makes it impossible to keep cashflow in the business to grow. We have tried so hard over the last few months to make this work, we have made many sacrifices and had many long days but it has got to a stage where we feel for ourselves to move onto new horizons, we’re excited for what’s next.”

Not a day has gone by in the last few weeks where we have not reported on a hospitality closure, but it truly doesn’t get any easier. Two Chaps Deli have sadly joined an ever-growing list of businesses that has been unable to cope with the cost of living crisis.

Still, the two lads have decided to look on the bright-side, and cherish the memories they made. They also made a point to thank the Duggan family for giving them the opportunity to work on the seafront too.

Of course there was lots of ups and downs which is part of it but we have learnt an incredible amount about business and life which will stand to us forever, wherever we go. We are looking forward to seeing what’s in store for us both in the near future, this was a success!

Two Chaps officially closes on Sunday 6th November, so make sure you pop by for a feed before then.
