Irish distillery hosting free online Christmas cocktail masterclass

Rory Cashin

All you need to do is be online at the right time!

Most people probably have their favourite festive booze, be it something particularly Christmassy like mulled wine or Irish coffee, or something individual that you associate with this time of year.

However, there could be a chance that you’re looking to mix it up a bit this year, and try something new, while also still being very Christmassy.

Or maybe you want to be able to make something snazzy for your upcoming Zoom Christmas office parties, or make it for anyone you’re (safely!) inviting over during the Christmas break.

To that end, you’ll be happy to hear that there is a free Christmas cocktail masterclass taking place soon, which will tick all of those boxes.

Brendan Carty of the Killowen Distillery (who apparently have created a rum and raisin whiskey, which needs its own conversation, to be honest) will host the cocktail-making masterclass, which will be taking place in the lush surroundings of the Killeavy Castle Estate in Armagh.

During the masterclass, will talk viewers through the process of making something called a ‘Christmas Godfather’, which we’ve never heard of before, but certainly sounds festive. And it sounds strong, too!

The masterclass will be taking place on Tuesday, December 22 at 6pm and to check it out, all you need to do is follow Discover Northern Ireland on Facebook and tune in here.
