Whenever a loved one is lost, it’s natural to want to remember them for the things they enjoyed in life.
That’s exactly what Julia Cranny’s family when she passed away peacefully in a nursing home in Navan, Co. Meath last week. Instead of her sending flowers, the family asked mourners to come with scratch cards as a way of remembering her.
Julie’s daughter Helen told the Meath Chronicle:
“She loved the lottery tickets on birthdays or Sundays and that is what she wanted.”
Any donations or winnings from the cards would be donated to charity, the family said.
What an unusual and great way to say goodbye to someone.
