Gardaí have uncovered a drug smuggling operation involving cocaine heavily embedded into clothing smuggled in from South America.
The Irish Independent reports that four men have been arrested after €200,000 worth of the drug was seized at a property in West Cork.
The seizure comes at the end of an intelligence-led operation by the Garda anti-drugs unit. The drugs are suspected to have come in from Colombia or Venezuela. It's believed the items of clothing would have been subjected to a special chemical wash process with the cocaine being recovered, dried and sold.
The bust is seen as one of the most sophisticated operations foiled by the Gardaí in recent years.
