Today marks National Slow Down Day with the objective being to encourage drivers to slow down and reduce injuries and deaths on Irish roads.
The Gardaí have today released the locations of where they will be setting up checkpoints around the country.
On their Facebook page, they identified the following so take note if you’re driving near any of these:

The checkpoints began at 7am this morning and will last until 7am tomorrow.
