PICS: You Can “Live In The Heart Of London Cheaper Than” This Student Accommodation

With the college year almost back in full swing, lots of students are going to be in party mode and will be looking forward to freshers week and getting back into the swing of things.

However, for most, the sad reality is that they’ll still be on the lookout for accommodation even when they’re a week or two or more into college.

And out of that chunk, the majority will just take anything they’ll see and this could end up costing them a very heavy penny.

There’s currently a room for sale down in Limerick being advertised as “student accommodation” by some person who obviously has no consideration for college students.

The price of the rooms has already increased since the advertisement went up one day ago.

The advertisement reads:

“5 Bedroomed House,

Walking distance to University of Limerick.

Letting for College year Now until May 31st 2019

Don’t text or email asking, how much?. It’s not 750 euro per month for the whole house it is per room and must be paid in advance, Daft only have options for weekly or monthly READ the FULL ADVERTISEMENT

ALL rent must be paid in ADVANCE per room.

It totals 6,500 per single room or 7,500 for ensuite.

I know its a lot to ask up front so willing to accept

Payment as follows

4500 now or 5500 now if ensuite

1500 on November 1st

1000 on January 1st

But those willing to pay FULL amount will get preference.

Fair usage bills included, (up to 1500 euro ) towards Electricity, Gas, Bins and internet

Nearly €35,000 for nine month is what they want.

Now this person says not to text or email asking how much the room is but quite frankly they should be bombarded with messages asking how can they justify asking for that much money, UPFRONT, from a student.

Just so they can pay their mortgage off in 10 years while the students who they are charging will be repaying the loans they’ve taken out for this place for the next 20 years.

Disgusting.
