It’s National Chocolate Week – the perfect excuse to spend the evening on the couch in a Nutella-induced coma.
But if couch-surfing isn’t your thing, there’s also a great opportunity to get out and about and meet your fellow chocoholics in the flesh in the coming weeks.
‘The Cork Chocolate Festival & Baking World‘ will take place the weekend of November 24th – 26th in Cork International Hotel and marks the first year of the (hopefully annual) festival dedicated to all things chocolate.
A variety of events and a main exhibition area will see chocolatiers from all over Ireland showcasing and selling their wares.

There will be chocolate workshops, talks and demonstrations from chefs, bakers and chocolatiers, with Paul Kelly, Michelin trained Pastry Chef and Great Irish Bake Off judge, hosting a special Chocolate Cookery Demonstration.
The theme of the weekend is ‘Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ and tickets into the exhibition area cost just €5, while children under 12 are free.
There is also a Wine Tasting with Chocolate event taking place on Friday evening from 7.30pm with tickets priced at €25, as well as an incredible chocolate-themed dinner on Saturday evening (which is unfortunately sold out already).
Cork International Hotel is doing a package if you fancied a night away and to attend some of the events. More info on that here.
