In the mood for coffee with a view? Look no further than this spot just outside Castletownbere.

Located at the Gour viewpoint along the Wild Atlantic Way with views of Bantry Bay and the surrounding countryside, Catcha Coffee is the perfect place to stop and sit for a while, or get a coffee to go while exploring the Ring of Beara. If you’re lucky enough to end up here on a sunny day, you won’t want to leave.

The cute green horse box opened last year, and after a hibernation period is back open for the season of summer staycationers and coffee lovers in general.

The selection of homemade treats is seriously impressive – we’d recommend the carrot cake. Or the lemon drizzle. Or maybe the rocky road actually. You know what, get five treats. You deserve it.

Wondering what else to do while you’re in the area? A 20 minute drive will take you to Garnish where you’ll find beautiful beaches and Ireland’s only cable car. You’re also close to the gorgeous Bullig Bay Loop Walk by Dunboy Castle, a mix of forest trail and amazing views of Bere Island. It’s a great aul spot.

Catcha Coffee is open 10am to 5 pm, from Thursday – Tuesday.
