Dublin’s Token is one of our favourite places to hang out, but now the retro arcade has a rival in Cork – Barcadia.
The bar/arcade/restaurant combo has been open for a few months, but has its official launch this Thursday.
And boy does it look like fun.
The place is packed with old-school games like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Time Crisis 2 and Donkey Kong.
You’ll also find ping-pong and football tables, classic and modern board games.
Food-wise, there are snacks like beer battered onion rings and mozzarella sticks as well as more substantial meals like pizzas and burgers.
The pizza dough is proofed for 72 hours so you know it’s good.
Then for drinks, there are craft beers and fun themed cocktails like Pac-Man porn star martinis.
It all looks like gas craic and we can’t wait to pay a visit.
