Good news for the community of Thomastown.

Considered to be something of a hidden gem among locals, O’Neills Bistro in Thomastown, Co. Tipperary reopened this week after a period of extensive renovations – just in time for the festive season.

Run by Kenny and Trisha O’Neill, the Bistro puts an emphasis on local produce, working with local butchers and farmers since opening back in 2013, Tipperary Live reports.

Over the various lockdowns, O’Neills adapted with takeaway menus to be enjoyed at home, with a full vegan/veggie menu on offer too. They’ve been described by Tipperary Live as “a very welcoming and inclusive restaurant” with full wheelchair accessibility, while the Sunday World has called O’Neill’s “honest and unpretentious” with a “focus on quality ingredients and first-rate technique”.
