But this isn’t just any horse box. This is one with a history.

Anyone who’s visited Kinsale will know Koko, the blue and white chocolate shop with hand crafted, artisan sweet treats and speciality coffee from Louth based roasters Green Bean.

Their beautifully packaged chocolates are adored by people all over the country and beyond, and now there’s an opportunity to bring them to your own special event.

Koko have recently launched a cafe located inside a horse box which was left to the family by their grandfather, a long time lover of horses.

According to the Koko team, Grandfather Jenkins took as much pride in his horses as they do in their chocolates and coffee, and as a result they “always turned out looking immaculate”.

The 1962 horse box was in need of a bit of TLC when it arrived to the Koko team from Ballinspittle, but since then it’s been kitted out with a state of the art coffee machine, a side opening and a fresh paint job in Koko’s signature shade of blue, “so you know it’s us from a mile away”.

If you’ve got a wedding, family gathering or any sort of event coming up that you think could benefit from an addition of chocolate and coffee, get in touch with Koko for more information.
