Sligo’s Sweet Beat Café to open second location by the beach

Hopefully in time for the Irish Summer, which I’m sure will be making an appearance any day now.

Sligo locals will be familiar with Sweet Beat, the Bridge Street cafe serving up homemade vegetarian and vegan dishes with speciality coffee from 3fe on bar. The cafe is regularly named as one of the best spots for brunch in Sligo and is generally just a great place to sit back and relax with a cup of whatever you’re having yourself.

A few weeks ago, Sweet Beat teased the opening of a second venue on Strandhill Beach, excitedly confirming they were bringing the cafe “back to where we started”.

Fast forward to today and their new seaside spot looks to be close to completion, with signage up and a cosy looking interior just crying out to be filled with the smell of baking and the sound of post sea-swim catch ups.

The Sweet Beat team wrote in the post: We’ll keep everyone posted with an opening date as we got closer to it… keep an eye on our socials and tell all your buddies we’re coming to Strandhill!

Another reason to visit one of Ireland’s favourite beaches this staycation season.
