Supermarkets around the country are recalling a popular egg white product over concerns it could be contaminated with Salmonella.
The products in question are Dr Zak’s Free Range and Barn Farmed Liquid Egg White, with a best before date of December 12 2018.
The Food Safety Authority issued a warning on their website that read, “The FSAI has been notified that Dr Zak’s is recalling an additional batch (18163BN2A) of its barn farmed liquid egg white due to the detection of Salmonella.
“Dr Zak’s is also recalling two further batches as a precautionary measure. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores that sold the implicated batches.”
The two further batches that were also recalled had a best before date of December 29 2018 and February 2 2019.
