One of Galway’s most beloved spots has announced their reopening date

Granted, we haven’t had much use for calendars this year but if ever there was a reason to break it out and finally put it to use, 56 Central announcing their reopening surely qualifies?

Closed for the past few weeks – since the onset of more stringent public health restrictions and the country’s second lockdown of the year – staff have been biding their time at home, whiling away the days until they can get back to doing what they love.

Promising to give customers a December to remember, they’ve confirmed that they’ll be firing up their ovens as of this Friday. Revealing all over the weekend, an update shared on social media reads:

“Save the date ! Friday from 11am the kitchen will be lit !!! Arentas will be doing his magic and Rachel will be all over the floor making your coffees and getting your orders ready – see you Friday.”

Committed to making the most of the rest of 2020, owners previously joked that Christmas will be bigger and better than ever this year with extra glitter, a side of turkey with every order and chocolate on everything. Sign us up.
