It’s the kind of thing you really need to hear while battling the post-weekend blues.
Over the weekend, poor Louis the sheep must have lost his footing and fell off a cliff on Lambay Island.
Luckily, he escaped with no more than a few cuts and bruises after being safely rescued by the Howth Coastguard crew, according to a tweet from Richard Chambers:

I don’t know about you, but the coastguard giving Louis a reassuring pet and cuddle as they return to safety is more than I can handle in my fragile state. Sure, you might say “he’s a sheep, he can’t remember what happened three minutes ago”, but I’m choosing to believe he formed a life long bond with the entire crew.

Fingers crossed Louis is feeling more like himself this morning after his tumble, and I hope it’s a comfort for him to know he provided inspiration for some cheesy AF puns amongst group chats across the country. Some faves from Lovin HQ include:
- He was saved, so I guess all’s wool that ends wool
- Lucky the boat didn’t hit a rock, otherwise they’d have had to abandon sheep
- Looked like a baa-d fall
- Ewe love to sea a sheep thriving
Power to ya Louis, and fair play to the Howth Coastguard Crew.
