Top tip – visit Tipperary midweek, as that will give you the opportunity to check out the Templemore Farmers Market, which takes place every Wednesday. Get the adrenaline pumping in Waterford

Waterford is home to Dunmore East Adventure Centre, and it’s the ideal location to get the adrenaline pumping on a short break. There are so many exciting activities to choose from here, including sailing, archery, stand-up paddleboarding, caving and a power fan freefall. Later on your trip, prepare to feast your senses with Taste Waterford’s Mountain Splendour Taste Tour. Tour guide Johnny Landers will lead guests along a sumptuous tour of Waterford’s mountains, as they take in the local food history. The tour finishes up with lunch at Cooney’s Yard – the ideal way to refuel on a crisp autumn day.
