Everyone’s fave Kerry cafe has gotten on the nitro buzz with a new cold coffee option

Fiona Frawley

This is the kind of coffee Irish people can really get on board with – in the sense that it comes from a keg and looks like a pint.

The shiny yellow gem of the Irish coffee scene, Bean in Dingle, has just launched their new nitro coffee as part of a collab with Motel Brews in Berlin, who are experts in the nitro brewing process. Combine that with Bean in Dingle’s second to none roasting know-how, and you’re onto a winner.

This cold caffeinated bev has taken the coffee world by storm over the past few years, so it’s only right that the Kingdom gets in on the action. But what exactly is nitro coffee when it’s at home? Well, it’s cold coffee that’s flash brewed with mineralised water to extract full flavour and natural sweet notes. It’s then infused with nitrogen to achieve that creamy, micro-bubbly stout-like texture. It’s high in caffeine, smooth in flavour and easy to drink black.

If you’ve been loving Bean in Dingle’s Fizzee Coffee over the past few weeks, you’ll definitely be into this new creation!
