Butler House

The stunning Dower House of Kilkenny Castle, Butler House has been associated with the Butler family for over 500 years. Restored in the 1970s, it now operates as a guesthouse and conference centre – impressing visitors with its Georgian splendour and beautiful gardens.

However, falling on incredibly tough times this year, the team at Butler House has confirmed that they will be forced to close until at least February of next year. Making the sad announcement on social media, a statement shared by Butler House reads:

“As it stands and based on the current difficult circumstances faced by the Tourism and Hospitality industry it is with great sadness that we have reluctantly decided to remain closed until at least February 1st 2021.

“We are fully committed to welcoming back our guests and dedicated staff as soon as we possibly can. We are continuing to examine all options to reopen our business as quickly as possible.”

Also addressing the issue of upcoming customer bookings, the team went on to say that all guests will be contacted in the coming days.

“During our closure, we are available to answer any queries you may have by email at [email protected]. Stay safe and well and we will see you all again soon.”
