Argos Ireland Issue Urgent Recall Of Popular Product Due To Risk Of Burning And Electrical Shocks

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has announced that Argos has issued an urgent recall about a popular product being sold in its Irish stores.

The recall is being made due to safety concerns.

The Fan heater being taken back by the company is the Simple Value 2Kw Upright Fan Heater and safety experts believe that the heater may present a risk of electrical shocks as well as being a potential burning hazard.

The item has been on sale in Argos shops in Ireland as well as being available on the Irish Argos website.

It is said that the item was sold around 5,000 nationwide.

The model number affected – which is found on a label on the base of the heater – FH03 and the item has a catalogue number of 730/9687.

CCPC say that: “If you have purchased one of these Fan Heaters, please stop using it immediately, and return to your nearest Argos store for a full refund or replacement product as soon as possible.
