Eight Irish Brands That Every Fashionista Needs To Check Out

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

There’s something so special about buying from Irish designers.

You could be walking down the street wearing a piece of jewellery, a t-shirt or a hat and the person who created it could pass you by. It’s such a special thing to think that the time and effort of creating it was done in your own country by someone who’s really passionate about their work.

Recently, I’ve been buying timeless pieces for my wardrobe – things I can wear over and over again, quality over quantity and all that. It makes me feel like my wardrobe is unique and there’s a story behind everything I choose to wear.

I’ve been really interested in buying Irish and I’ve found some deadly companies along the way.

If you’re vibing with this, you need to check out these guys:

1. Inner Island

I’ve just gotten my hands on a pair of earrings from Inner Island and this kind of inspired me to write this piece.

The Irish handcrafted jewellery company specialises in timeless contemporary pieces. The pieces are simple but stand-out and downright beautiful.

It’s super trendy and slick.

I chose the Ammil Earrings and I adore them.

2. Wanna Be Clothing

Two Irish gals got together to create this funky denim jacket company.

The vintage jackets are bold print, embellished and completely eye-catching, with quirky hand-painted prints of well-known childhood cartoons. Each product is one-of-a-kind which makes it super special.

I need one of these in my life, pronto.

3. Ambr Eyewear

I recently bought myself a pair of Ambr Eyewear glasses and they’ve honestly changed my life.

The screen glasses are designed to combat eye strain from looking at screens for too long. To top it all off, they’re super stylish and I’ve started to wear them as an accessory too.

One of the best purchases I’ve made.

4. Cleo Roze

Cute pendants are key with any outfit.

I recently came across Cleo Roze and had a good stalk on their Insta page. Since then, I’ve decided that I need one of these in my life.

So fab.

5. Forester

These guys create stunning vegan leather bags, belts, wallets and satchels.

I’m a sucker for a good bag pack and these ones are proper slick.

Created by Alannah McGhee and Sean Forester have created something new and fresh, that environmental souls will love.

6. Gym+Coffee

A sportswear brand created to match a way of life.

I recently ordered myself some gear and I was really impressed with the quality of it.

Comfy, stylish and cosy.

7. Don’t Kill My Vibe

Stand-out, bold and brave earrings can jazz up any outfit.

These guys make some deadly bits.

Ideal for festival season.

8. The Fortune Black Label

The Fortune Black Label was established by a group of individuals looking to create a unique streetwear brand.

I predict big things for this brand.

Unreal.
