One of the largest movements I’ve seen amongst Irish Instagrammers as of late is the promotion of sustainable fashion.
It’s refreshing to see people making the effort to have a greener planet, be more conscious of their shopping habits and rekindle their love with their older pieces in their wardrobe. Another thing that this movement has promoted is adding staple pieces to your wardrobe instead of following fast-fashion trends. I’m all for this. I’ve always been one to shop in vintage stores, hold onto garments for years on end and only buying things I know I’ll get really good wear out of.
A common fast-fashion faux pas of mine is buying crappy hats and gloves during the winter – feeling chilly and running into a shop to buy the cheapest hat that’ll literally only last a month or so at best before stretching three sizes bigger than my lil noggin and end up in the bosca bruscair.
Recently, however, I added a serious staple piece to my wardrobe that I’ve barely been able to take off and I know I’ll get so much wear out of for years to come.

The hats are super comfy, cosy and something I’ve adored pairing with my outfits. It’s really good quality and I can’t really remember my life without them.
It’s a little piece of Donegal, one of my favourite places, with me wherever I go!
