Yikes – Somebody Didn’t Think This Aldi Slogan Hoodie Through

There are certain words and phrases that just don’t travel well. 

The American term ‘fanny pack’ is endlessly amusing, and referring to clarified butter as ‘ghee’ (pronounced gee) will always illicit an eyebrow raise on Irish shores.  

Well, there’s certainly eyebrows being raised at Aldi’s recent hoodie selection, and it’s all because of an unfortunate turn of phrase. 

The slogan hoodie emblazoned with the words ‘Eat Sleep Ride Repeat’ is causing ripples on Reddit for obvious reasons. 

Redditor Hurling001 shared the photo with the caption ‘Definitely getting my Daughter an “Eat Sleep Ride Repeat” hoodie from ALDI!’ 

Last year, Aldi released an equestrian line, and given that the phrase Eat Sleep Ride Repeat is very popular in a horse-riding context, we’re assuming (hoping) this hoodie is part of that line. 

Still doesn’t stop us being juvenile about it though.
