PIC: Gaelic Footballer Royally Embarrassed By His Mammy In Facebook Live Comments – While He’s On The Show

Darragh Berry

It’s a monumental day when you add your parents back on social media. It’s a landmark decision that means you trust them enough not to go snooping through your account and you’re sensible enough to not post anything that you don’t want them to know in the future.

However, when you’re a figure in the public eye, your mother will still be able to keep tabs on you, whether you’re their ‘friend/follower’ or not.

That’s what happened to St. Vincent’s footballer, Eamon Fennell when he and Michael Meehan went on GAANow Live to discuss the upcoming National League Final between Galway and Dublin.

Mid-way through the serious footballing discussion, Eamon’s mother, Maureen chimed in with a comment that had absolutely nothing to do with Gaelic Football or sport for that matter.

What she really wanted to know was if Eamon would walk their dog Ben when he was finished chatting GAA.

Mortified by the FB comment, Eamon said that it’s what he gets for not answering the phone to his mammy before he went on the show.

We’ve all had an embarrassing parent or aunty/uncle comment on our Facebook posts, we were just lucky enough that a wider audience didn’t get to see it.
