If You Suffer From Bloating THESE Are The Foods You Need To Keep Away From

Darragh Berry

You would think that someone who does body building for a career wouldn’t have to deal with bloating but Michelle Middleton is here to prove that this is definitely not true.

The USA bodybuilder took to Instagram to reveal what foods change her normally toned six pack into a bulging belly.

Middleton has previously yo-yo dieted but has switched to a balanced diet in order to transform her body for weightlifting.

Sometimes, however, she just can’t seem to shake off that bloated feeling.

In the caption, she wrote:

“I do these bloat posts every now and then but people still get surprised at how big my belly gets. Yes I get bloated and it happens when I eat certain foods. Earlier I had Greek yoghurt and I got bloated within a few minutes but the bloat only lasted for a few hours and now I’m back to normal.

“The foods that make me the most bloated are yoghurts, protein powders, apples, pears, watermelon, broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus.”

She went onto explain that the bloating happens when she eats foods that aren’t part of her low ‘FODMAP’ diet. The diet is often used to tackle IBS and digestion disorder symptoms by cutting out or reducing carbohydrates.

It involves avoiding certain foods including leeks, onions, kidney beans, apples, bears, as well as wheat and dairy products.

Middleton did have to clarify a few things about her first post though. She doesn’t get THAT bloated when she hasn’t stuck to her diet stating in her latest post:

“I just wanted to clarify to the new followers that the last pic is from my prep in the late summer. So yes I do get bloated but I don’t magically lose 15 lbs and have abs.”
