Thinking about the best time to get arrested in Ireland is not something that should ever be really on your mind but at the same time, we’re kind of glad that the matter has been answered for us.
Fiona Hyde heard a rumour “on the grapevine” and had to take to Twitter to find out whether it was true or false.
Apparently, getting arrested in the later part of the day has a slight upside according to Fiona.
I’ve heard on the grapevine that if you’re getting held in Garda custody, after a certain point they’re forced to feed you and you generally get chipper. Happy days. Cashback, really. Might get taken in tonight.

She said that: “I’ve heard on the grapevine that if you’re getting held in Garda custody, after a certain point they’re forced to feed you and you generally get chipper. Happy days. Cashback, really. Might get taken in tonight.”
You can’t beat a good portion of chips to be fair but this is probably going a small bit too far to bag yourself a free bag.
And it wasn’t good enough to just park it there, Fiona wanted cold hard evidence that a chipper would defo be on the list and that it wasn’t some old wives tale.
From a trusted source. Pro tip: don’t get arrested in the morning. Chicken fillet rolls are low value. Chipper is where you wanna be, arrest-wise. pic.twitter.com/KHueLoU8i2

Ah here, there’s nothing wrong with a good old chicken fillet roll, Fiona.
You’ll be happy with what you’re given.
