Massively Popular Budget Clothing Chain Opens In Several Irish Locations Tomorrow

Bargain-lovers rejoice.

Dealz’s sister clothing brand Pep&Co is arriving on Irish shores in 30 different locations on Friday 23rd February, meaning Penneys may no longer be the first stop when you’re skint.

The clothing chain is eyeing up Penneys’ market share, with extremely competitive prices including jeans for €6.50 and t-shirts for a measly €3.50.

The first ten stores will open in already-existing Dealz stores including Blanchardstown, Finglas, Dundrum village centre, Nutgrove, Newbridge, Athy, Gorey, Ballina and Castlebar.

Another 20 stores will open before the end of summer in locations including Killarney, Galway, Letterkenny and Cork.

Barry Williams, managing director of Dealz/Poundland, said Pep&Co stores have been massively popular in the UK, and they don’t see the Irish stores being any different:

He said they “trade very successfully in over 130 locations in the UK against many of these competitors and we don’t see that changing in the republic.”

The bargain store will stock a full range of women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, with Mr. Williams adding: “You’ll be able to kit yourself out from head to toe for €15.”
