Every year we see different baby names becoming increasingly popular, and others remaining consistently common.
We may only be four months into 2018, but that hasn’t stopped a clear trend developing among new parents naming their children.
This year, according to Names.org, a website which ranks the popularity of names throughout the year, there’s a clear winner when it comes to boys names.
Top of the list? Noah
To be honest, we’ve no idea what inspired people to start choosing Noah, but we’ve certainly heard a lot of it.
And, to be fair, it is absolutely adorable.
The top 10 boys names so far in 2018 are as follows:
1. Noah
2. Liam
3. Benjamin
4. Oliver
5. William
6. James
7. Elijah

9. Mason
10. Michael
When it comes to girls, the top name so far this year has been an all-time classic – Olivia.
Olivia is followed closely by Emma, Ava and Charlotte, all of which have surpassed the likes of Sophia and Isabella – names that probably would’ve been quite popular a couple of years ago.
The top 10 most popular girls names this year are:
