Want to live somewhere really cool? Yep, us too. A gal can dream right. Right?!
One of our fave pastimes (some say hope-destroying torture, but whatevs) is looking at lovely homes online and picturing ourselves living there.
One such abode that caught our eye is this impressive 3,800 sq. ft. house in Curracloe, Galway – the property combines a two storey stone fronted farmhouse with a contemporary architect designed extension (which is with geothermal heating) making the old blend with the new with seamless integrity.
The old stone exterior reveals an open plan modern beauty inside…
Elegant touches such as parquet flooring complement the shiny new parts of the gaff
Just one of the features of this property is the balcony at 1st floor level , which can be accessed from either the master bedroom or the landing – an ideal sun trap and a perfect spot for light al fresco dining, reading, sun lounging or just simply enjoying the views of the Galway countryside.
And a gleaming kitchen is the deal sealer here: sure, we’d paint over a few walls but this house is just waiting to be Instagram-worthy
Okay yes, we would be ripping out that blue carpet and putting a nice terracotta on the bathroom walls but isn’t the space just fab?
Imagine how cosy that sitting room must be with the stove in the middle…
For a three-bed house with four bathrooms at €375,000, we wouldn’t be saying no to this. I mean, our bank would but… We love it.
