How about this for a start to the new year?
It has been confirmed that the winners of the mammoth €130m New Year’s Day Euromillions jackpot hail from Co. Armagh. The couple will go public tomorrow according to draw operator Camelot.
The £114,969,775 prize is the fourth biggest jackpot in UK history and the winners will reveal themselves at a press conference in Belfast on Friday.
The figure also dwarfs the €115m won by Limerick woman Dolores McNamara in 2005. It’s fair to say there’ll be a lot more people chancing their luck after hearing this life-changing news this evening.
