The HSE has released an updated version of its ‘red zone’ map which indicates that the Aussie Flu is now widespread throughout every part of Ireland.
The worrying infographic shows that during the week of January 8 to 14, every part of the Republic Of Ireland reported ‘widespread influenza activity’.
Compare this to the previous two weeks and the epidemic seems to be spreading fast…
January 1 – 7
December 25 – 31
The HSE has confirmed that 24 people have died directly from the flu and 1,000 have been hospitalised.
