Limerick is great craic, whether you're drinking or not. While there are absolutely loads of spots to go and enjoy a pint, sometimes that just doesn't tickle your fancy.

Well, there are actually loads of alternatives to a night out on the pints, because Limerick is packed full of fun stuff to do to occupy you're evening out so it doesn't involve alcohol.

Here are some of the fun things you can do instead of heading out to the pub and having a drink.

Experience Virtual Reality at Fury VR Gaming Centre

This is Ireland's largest VR gaming centre and makes for an unbelievably enjoyable activity.

Experience everything from Google Earth, Space Pirate and Rick and Morty through virtual reality.

They're open for booking Monday to Friday 10am to 10pm and are open for walk-ins from 2pm until 10pm on Fridays, 11am until 9pm on Saturdays and 2pm until 8pm on Sundays.

Get your skates on at Roller Jam

Open from 6.30pm until 9.30pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, this definitely makes for a different kind of evening out.

They do 80s and 90s themed nights which are gas, and they also cater for hen parties.

Adult admission costs €12, while you can get student entry for €10.

Go on a food crawl

Limerick has a fantastic array of restaurants and cafes. So why not try a load of them in the space of a few hours?

It's like a pub crawl, but instead of heading from pub to pub for pints, you head to different spots for food and try a variety of cuisines in the one night.

Do an escape room

Honestly, this is one of the most fun things you can do with your mates.

Basically, you all have to work together to find clues and solve puzzles in order to figure out how to escape the room.

There are a few spots around Limerick you can have a whack at an escape room, including, Asyl Room on Cecil Street and Escape Limerick on Nicholas Street.

Spend the night at the arcade

Fun World is a fantastic spot to spend a few hours bowling, playing pool or having a go at the arcade games.

They're open from 10am until midnight every night.
