There Is A Full Moon Swim Event Happening In Achill For Just €1 Per Person

Achill is one of the most magical places in the country and even more so on the night of a full moon.

I used to love swimming at night when I was a teenager and I actually miss it so since moving to the city, there’s something so soothing and relaxing about it.

This month on the 14th of September there will be a full moon and a cool little event has been set up for those who want to go for a dip under the bright night sky.

This will take place in Achill at Keel Beach and will cost €1!

“I love my island, its mountains and waters, its sounds and sights – the magic of the place is captivating. I like doing things a little bit differently, with like-minded people who enjoy a challenge and having fun!”

You will meet at the surf trailers at the carpark in Keel Beach, and from there you’ll meet the group and then go into the water for a swim – all very simple stuff.

You can walk into the sea, run into it or crawl into it… you can submerge yourself into the revitalizing Atlantic water, swim in the glorious waters under the Minaun Cliffs and be empowered by the strength and beauty of the full moon.
