1m Irish Water Customers Set For Refund Of Up To €325

If you are one of those who paid their Irish Water bills, you could be set for a nice little refund.

Negotiations over the legacy of Irish Water are continuing between Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, with The Irish Independent reporting that Housing Minister Simon Coveney is set to agree to a €162m refund to customers of the now defunct organisation.

Over 970,000 people have paid domestic water charges in Ireland, with rates standing between €200 and €325.

No final agreement has yet been reached on the issue and no timeline has been put in place for the refunds.
