In the second incident of its kind in recent weeks, a 70 ft whale has washed up on a Sligo beach.
Just last week, a 20 ft whale was discovered on the shore on Arranmore Island off the coast of Co. Donegal.
Now, a massive 70 ft mammal has beached on Trawee Beach in Templeboy, Co. Sligo, near The Beach Bar at Aughris.
Blair Feeney told Ocean FM News that the sea creature is ’70-80 foot long and about 7-9 foot in diameter’
According to Feeney, a large number of people have been coming and going all day to view the incredible sight, which he described as both “beautiful” and “sad”.
