Man Air-Lifted To Hospital After 15 Foot Fall At Popular Climbing Area

A man was airlifted to hospital, after falling approximately 15-foot while rock-climbing in Co. Clare.

According to the Irish Examiner, the man was climbing yesterday afternoon when the coastguard was alerted.

The man, who was in his 30s, was climbing a rock face in popular climbing spot Ailladee, Co. Clare.

The Doolin Unit of the Irish Coast Guard reported to the scene, where they reached the man and helped him while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.

The man was then brought to University Hospital Limerick, where he is being treated for his injuries.

It’s understood that his injuries are not life-threatening.
