A Man Was Shot Three Times In The Back This Afternoon

A 37-year-old man was shot three times in the back in Cork this afternoon.

The attack took place in Blackpool on the northside of Cork city around 5pm today. A lone gunman fled the scene on foot.

According to Independent.ie, the injured man was rushed to Cork University Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Gardai have since cordoned off the scene of the crime to facilitate a forensic investigation.
