A Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Has Been Issued For SEVEN Irish Counties Tonight

James Fenton

If you’re working in Galway or anywhere in Munster today, it might be an idea to ask your boss if you can head home before 4pm. Any later than that and you’ll be soaked through.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for the whole of Munster (Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary for those who have forgotten their primary school geography) and Galway.

A post on Met.ie reads ‘Showers merging to longer spells of thundery rain. Surface water and spot flooding likely, with between 25 to 40 mm possible.’

The warning is valid for 4pm today until 4am on Thursday morning.
